Post-Kili Safari Planning
Tanzania Safari Parks Guide
From the iconic Serengeti to the remote chimpanzee forests of Mahale — which parks belong in your post-Kilimanjaro safari?
After the Summit, the Wildlife
You are climbing Kilimanjaro. The next question — which safari parks should you add? Tanzania has more safari park diversity than any other country in Africa. The Northern Circuit alone covers three completely different ecosystems. Add the Southern and Western circuits, and you have a range of experiences from the most iconic wildlife concentrations on earth to genuinely unexplored wilderness.
This guide covers every major safari park that pairs with a Kilimanjaro climb. It is designed to help you decide — based on your experience level, time available, budget, and what you most want to see. All of these parks are reachable from Arusha. All of them can be combined in longer itineraries. None of them are wrong choices.
